They need music too, and Skyline Summer's recordings are the perfect nasal acoustic pop for the austere morning commute to high school or just shopping. The songs themselves are well arranged, driven by Brandon Cullen's breathy phrasing, and the peripheral instrumentation creates a persuasive emotional charge. Over the past six months, I have collaborated with <span style="font-weight: bold;">Noah Lamport</span> on a few electronic experiments, and usually I use one or the other pieces at shows. The first picture is a type of theremin that is played through contact points. On this one, "<span style="font-weight: bold;">Foundation</span>," the user places their palm on the copper skyline and manipulates the pitch by playing the triangles with their finger tips. It is built into a cigar box and has no exposed wires or controls on the top surface. All circuits copyright <span style="font-weight: bold;">Noah Lamport</span>.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ca6LetOJhE0/SuHddbFeBHI/AAAAAAAAAgI/DowWMOwk6GU/s1600-h/foundation.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 388px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ca6LetOJhE0/SuHddbFeBHI/AAAAAAAAAgI/DowWMOwk6GU/s400/foundation.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395837326123205746" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Farmers' Market </span>is just another moleskine page.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ca6LetOJhE0/SuHdYzndt4I/AAAAAAAAAgA/xI29yIf2du4/s1600-h/Farmersmarket.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 254px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ca6LetOJhE0/SuHdYzndt4I/AAAAAAAAAgA/xI29yIf2du4/s400/Farmersmarket.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395837246808897410" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Ways of Seeing, Perceptual Habits in Viewing Art.
